Scientist Discover Weather On Our Beloved
And in other news...Dallas Raines dreams finally came true. Scientists recently made the discovery that our beloved comet of the year has weather.
According to research published this week in Nature, Comet Rosetta has a small weather system that is driven by an intense day-night cycle.
The ice patches on the surface of the comet melt into a cloud of water vapor due to heat from the sun. Then the water on the surface of the comet freezes back up at night when the temperature drops. This cycle is what creates the weather on Rosetta.
This is an amazing discovery. So many people are excited about this. I actually heard a rumor that Dallas Raines is working on becoming the first meteorologist to report weather from comet Rosetta's surface. Good luck Dallas! We're all counting on you.
