Jacques Vallée: The OG of Ufology
Jacques Vallée is the Original Gangsta of Ufology, and he is still at it, encouraging researchers for more exploration into the field. He is pleading for serious research surrounding the UFO phenomena. He urges scientists and ufologist to look into other areas surrounding the phenomena that haven't been explored yet.
Vallée is a French-American computer specialist and astrophysicist. He once served as a consultant to NASA and holds a master's degree in astrophysics and a Ph.D. in computer science. He is considered one of the most original thinkers in this field. That's why I call him the OG of Ufology.
If you ever watched Steven Spielberg's 80's flick, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, you may inadvertently know who Jacques Vallée is. Steven Spielberg modeled his lead research character in the film after Vallée, and the research in the film was inspired by Vallée's research.
Jacques Vallée is begging for more serious studies in the field of ufology by ufologist and mainstream scientists. He pleads for the study in areas that haven't been explored yet and areas that need to be revisited.
He thinks researchers need to look at all the evidence in a new light. UFO visitation is something that shouldn't be taken lightly. UFOs are interacting with our world from another planet and realm. That is a serious situation that needs to be understood.
In recent years Vallée has become more vocal about this. He wrote a paper titled, UNIDENTIFIED AERIAL PHENOMENA: A Strategy for UAP Research, which outlined the areas that need particular attention and the areas that should be ignored, so no further mistakes would be made.
Vallée is one of my favorite Ufologist. I find his views on this topic prevalent and fascinating. If you are getting into Ufology and looking for insight into the field, please check out some of the books written by Jacques Vallée. You will see how he was and still is ahead of his time. He truly is the OG of Ufology.
