Will Robots Take Over The World
I'm a firm believer that technology may be getting too advanced with the creation of Artificial Intelligence. The advancements are beginning to get out of hand. Robots are now resembling humans. mimicking sarcasm, and joking around when communicating. They are becoming more and more like us everyday. With the continuous technological advancements, some scientist question if they will develop self-awareness, if some haven't started to develop awareness already. A few studies seem to show some robots that may be displaying signs of self-awareness, but no one really knows for sure.
As Artificial Intelligence becomes more advanced, humanity is plagued with a plethora of moral issues regarding the treatment of robots once integrated in to society. So many things could go wrong? Some moral issues arise along with human safety concerns.
Society has a fear of robots becoming more advanced then taking over the world because of what has been portrayed in popular films we have watched. Then there is another issue. Why is it that we are not concerned with their well being? Is it fair for us to create humanoid machines that look, act, and communicate just like us, but with no say in their freedom? Isn't is wrong to play God and create a race of slaves just to serve us? What about the sex robots that have been created? What if they are to become self- aware as time progresses?
When robots become more evolved and more integrated into society, they may begin to develop more human traits and human emotions. Who's to say they won't develop feelings like us with their computer brain? Our human brain functions like a super computer that continues to learn by experience. Maybe artificial intelligence will begin to advance and evolve in the same manner; learning by experience too.
In the future, robots could begin to notice their place in society. What if they see that they are not treated as equals? This could pose a threat to the human race. What if they believe they need to protect us and think that locking us up is in our best interest?
This video displays exactly what I'm talking about. This cocky son of a scientist named "Dick," no pun intended, tells us that humans will be put in a God damn zoo! Sure, this rico suave robot named "Dick" is being sarcastic, but there is always some truth behind sarcasm.
